Love and Justice

For me, I don’t know about you, it’s so hard to understand love and judgment both being a part of God….

I am fairly certain that most people see God either as loving or judging… but the truth is that He is both love and justice. Before God created us the world was all ‘right’ but when sin came in, so did ‘wrong’. We see that if there are things are right, then there are also things that are  wrong too. If there is ‘right’ then there is there is ‘wrong’…

God is not all one attribute but his make up, not that I pretend to know or understand all of it, is complex and so He is both love and justice. Actually I think that love and justice are inseparable. However from a human, mortal standpoint…. trying to see the cohesion of love and justice is just too much for my brain to control and make sense of.

Humans either usually err on the side of love, compassion, empathy, understanding, forgiveness and mercy or they err of the side of judgment, condemnation, opinions, correction, drawings lines in the sand and being very black and white about things. From what I have seen… God is the only one who can successfully do love and justice perfectly.

I really don’t know how it works, and what is the difference between an observation and a judgment? How thin is that line right there and how on earth do we stay on the right side of it?

From human eyes we cannot comprehend that, but if we can relax and give up our role as judge then we can be freed to do the things He has called us to with even more anointing because judgement of others stunts us.

We also need to realise that our interpretations may or may not be correct, but how can we know in a lot of cases unless we know the bigger picture?

I know that I don’t know the bigger picture so I’m asking the Lord to forgive me for thinking I do.

    Wisdom – http://alifeofhopeandjoy.wordpress.com/2011/11/16/the-gaining-of-wisdom/

God’s wisdom with His empowering is the Principle thing in understanding His, thoughts, His heart and His good will for us, no doubt we will never know how He created us or even a Tree but we will understand so much more as we see in 1 Corinthians 2:9-16 below, we know He is Love and when we Love Him and so obey Him, all things work for good in our lives and His plans for us are very good too, He also tells us He does not afflict us but yes those who disobey and reject Him Him will reap what they sow which is Justice not that God wants anyone to perish but it is their choice. God is Love and can do no evil, all good things come from Him not bad.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a Hope.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that Love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth but which the Holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things with Spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are Spiritually discerned. But he that is Spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the Mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? but we have the Mind of Christ.

Jeremiah 31:30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

Proverbs 11:19-20 As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord but such as are upright in their way are His delight.

Psalm 107: 8 – 9 Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
