I forgive you
When you left me out
When you broke my trust
When you kept pressuring me
When you made me feel small
When you spoke harshly to me
When you didn’t understand me
When you broke my confidence
When you didn’t reply to my messages
When you didn’t let me know the answer
When you cut me off and intimidated me
When you didn’t care about me any longer
When you made me feel silly about what I love
When you ignored me in favour of someone else
When I was of no service to you and you ignored me
I forgive you
We must forgive for our sake…
It’s a command to forgive in order to be forgiven and it makes
sense but forgiveness is also a gift that we give ourselves ❤

Yes very True Cam, forgiveness is a gift that we give ourselves and resentment and bitterness a punishment, it is like mixing poison for those who have hurt us and drinking it ourselves, it eats away all the goodness in us like Cancer and contaminates others.
But we still do not accept the wrong they do and say and if they are in the Body of Christ we rebuke them as we see confirmed below in the Scriptures but yes as you shared Cam, we must be always willing to forgive.
Luke 17:3-5 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And the Apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

Yes it is in forgiving Cam that we are forgiven and than we are set free from sins slavery, holding onto our unforgiveness means we block God’s forgiveness and so His freedom too in Christ Jesus but we ask for God’s Love and forgiveness for others as we choose to walk in The Fruit of The Spirit by His empowering.
I wrote about those I needed to forgive, I will leave a link for you, my life has been hard but I have had times of Happiness and I now have deep inner Joy regardless of the circumstances in knowing the certainty and having the assurance of being our Abba Father’s Redeemed Daughter and no doubt you do too.
