MyPsalms 25-27 ~ Letters to God

  MYPSALMS 25-27…

I’m reading through the Psalms and I’m writing my own MyPsalms… They are a wonderful way to connect God and I in real conversation. I hope you are enjoying them. Maybe you will feel inspired to write your own Psalms!

My desire is to find this place of intimacy, this place of desire and knowing, this place of dependence on Him in all things. My days are so full that I just blow through them with working full-time and all the requirements of a family and then I wonder did I talk to God at all during the day?”

MyPsalms 25-27 are below and the links to the album that will contain all of them =)

I hope you enjoy them. To keep up with them each day please go and visit my Facebook page

MyPsalm 25

Day 25

Dear Lord,

The world is happening in a rush all around me. I think it feels like chaos. To most of us that is what its like Lord… chaos.

But in amongst the seeming chaos your divine order for our lives exists, and it is beautifully unfolding and although we may be in a rush and we feel every moment of time slip by, you know each and every day and things are happening as you would will them to.

Lord shine your light on the path we should be taking today. Illuminate the way that will take us right into the places you would have us.

Bring us right up to the doors that you would have us walk through and show us where the door bell is! You are the doorway to life.

Bring us to your table, let us sit with you and find refreshing and sustenance, and as we eat together a feast of your words, let us be nourished and instructed by your voice and heart.

Open the windows of our life and let your freshness blow through and clean away the stagnation and stillness, may the aroma of your presence fill every part of our lives and make it new like fresh linen.

Help us to sweep away the old things, the tired things, the things that are holding us back, the things that are in the way, the things that are done with and help us make room for what is to come.

Thank Lord you that in the chaos you still restore our pathway, you nourish us, your give us the freshness of your presence and you sweep away the things that are broken and done with to make room for the new.

Amen

Dear Lord,
I have found that I have walked into a new space, its like coming into a clearing after being in overgrow forest. It’s the place between trust and control. It’s so easy to say I trust you Lord and its a whole other thing to TRUST you…When I picture this, actually trying to stop doing some of the things that I try to control it presents a slightly more challenging picture to me than when I just say the words.

But I am at a wonderful crossroad just now Lord and I thank you that you have brought me to it. I actually feel a sense of relief and a need to relinquish control of things that I would normally hold on tightly to. I have a sense that to let you make the plans mean the plans will be best for me in the long-term.

There are a few things on my mind and some of them that used to seem hard to let go of seem much easier to give over now and there are other areas, areas which I cannot control, which are heartbreaking… I wish I could make things better in these places but I can’t… Something inside me wants to control or direct these situation but I have to take my hands off and step back and simply pray and commit each one to YOUR keeping. I must KNOW that even though some things don’t initially turn out how we think they are best that your will is the best for all of us in any situation

Lord help me to explore this space and to find my way through it and to always lean more on trusting you than controlling parts of my life.

Amen

Dear Lord,

If my hope is not in you Lord then where could it be? I find no hope
 other than in you alone.
Hope is the vital ingredient of my life. Without hope what is there?

Lord I do not always understand my life. I do not understand why things happen.
But Father I will trust in you. You created me and you formed me and you gave me free will.
In giving us all that, the door was opened to all manner of things but you had to give us free will.

I have come to the conclusion that regardless of whether life is hard or easy. Whether the roads are filled with obstacles or the paths are smooth that things will turn out for my good.

And Lord in regards to the hard things that I have experienced, the things I may go through, the things I watch friends and family go through. I do not understand but I know that you do not cause evil to happen.

Lord preserve our life, make the way through for us, strengthen us, help us keep our eyes on you, remind us to pray Lord, to stand against the work of the devil and declare your goodness in our lives till we see it.

Amen

Hope you enjoy the journey!

  • Thank you Cam, for those beautiful words of Trust and of your assurance in our God of Love, whose plans for us are very good not evil.

We can be thankful that all good things come from God not bad but as you shared Cam, we have free will and can reap the bad that we sow just like the Prodigal son did and also as we can see with Paul’s trials below, we are also afflicted through the evil in the World, as Satan seeks to cause us to fall away but Jesus keeps us strong to the end and how good that Satan can’t harm us Eternally, our soul is protected.

2 Corinthians 11:24-31 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own Countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the Churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not? If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.

What did Paul hold onto in his trials, what kept him safe so he was not burned up by Satan’s Testing, the same empowering that keeps us strong to the end.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Christian Love from both of us – Anne.
